This program introduces students to the field of human communication through courses in journalism, newscasting, sales and marketing, video production and mass media. This associate's degree program is designed for students seeking entry-level employment in this field or further education resulting in a four-year baccalaureate degree. Theories of communication and liberal arts are combined with a hands-on approach to mass communication media. The importance of communication in individual relationships, societal settings, corporate structures and global interdependence is emphasized.
