Administrative professionals have talents that may be employed in a variety of settings, including business, legal, and medical offices, public and private educational institutions, hospitals, clinics, laboratories, insurance companies, banks and financial institutions, libraries, research facilities, career placement agencies, and government institutions.

Experienced administrative professionals also may become trainers and teachers, working in schools and colleges training future office administrators.
