Lincoln Tech Graduate Biographies
Michelle’s mother was a hospital Nursing Assistant, so she grew up around medical professionals and spent a good deal of time visiting her mother at work. She chose Lincoln Technical Institute for a Medical Coding and Billing program, and Career Services helped her find her first job after graduation at a pharmaceutical operation in upstate New York. A former Lincoln classmate later recommended she apply to Advanced Laparoscopy in Paramus, NJ, where she now manages the office and enjoys having the opportunity to help graduates from the Paramus campus launch their own Medical careers. “Knowing we’re making a difference in people’s lives is what drives us,” Michelle says. Her career at Advanced Laparoscopy changed her own life as well, and it started with the training she received at Lincoln.
Dion relocated to Indianapolis from St. Louis, MO, specifically to attend Lincoln College of Technology and train for a career in Diesel and Truck Technology. He knew after touring the campus that Lincoln was where he would train. Throughout his training, he observed how much his instructors loved teaching and how much personal attention they paid to the progress of each individual student. After graduation he started his new career as a Diesel Technician for Transcorr Trucking, LLC in Indianapolis. Now, he says, “I can provide for my family, and I love going to work!”
After working in the hospitality field for several years, Shawn McFarlane envisioned a different career offering more hands-on technical work; one where he could really make a difference. He chose to pursue his training at Lincoln Technical Institute’s Union campus to earn a diploma in HVAC. Shawn graduated with a 4.0 grade point average and perfect attendance. He received a job offer before graduation from an Environmental Engineering company. With his Lincoln education, he applied his knowledge and pursued industry certifications. Shawn currently holds 410A and EPA Universal certifications and is a Star Certified Mechanic.
After a few years of college, Christian Rado knew he wanted more hands-on training that could lead him into an engaging career. He chose Lincoln Technical Institute’s Allentown campus to pursue a degree in Electronics. With his education, he applied his knowledge and passion to the automotive industry and turned his lifelong dream into reality. Today, Christian competes in the GT Unlimited class of the Global Time Attack series for his own team, WORLD Racing. Christian also participates in the National Auto Sport Association trials, and Super Street Magazine’s Super Lap Battle; he currently holds over 25 national track records in North America.
While raising two young children, Rebecca Klein pursued her studies and graduated from Lincoln College of Technology in Kentucky with a diploma as a Medical Assistant. After several years of working in the Healthcare field, Rebecca returned to Lincoln to pursue her training as a Dental Assistant when the new program opened in 2011. From her previous experience with her Lincoln education and instructor interactions, Rebecca knew Lincoln was once again the right choice for her to pursue her next step in her career path. She attended her second milestone graduation in June 2012 as a Dental Assistant.
Lincoln Culinary Institute graduate, Aaron Janus, knew he would be a successful chef one day as a direct result of his hard work, dedication, and the education he received from Lincoln. His Culinary career path excelled quickly and he became the Executive Chef for Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago, 6-Star Diamond Award Club. The Club is considered to be one of the world’s most sought after private clubs offering extraordinary culinary experiences for it members and guests. Chef Janus prepares everything from Classical and French to New World Cuisine. His passion for the culinary arts and training shows in all of his culinary presentations.

Following graduation, Marlon Brandon sat for his licensing exam and within days was offered a position as a Licensed Practical Nurse. “I found the instructors to be very knowledgeable and they prepared me very well. The Career Services Department arranged several interviews for good LPN positions. My future looks very bright—thanks Lincoln Tech!”

Eddy Seuro is a Lincoln graduate furthering his Automotive training in Lincoln’s BMW Partnership Step program, and currently works at a New Jersey BMW dealership. “As soon as I visited the Lincoln campus I fell in love with it. I would tell anyone who’s new to [career training], don’t be nervous. Have an open mind and be ready to learn. Set a goal, and do it!”
